The haunting choral composition ‘Between Two Lights’ by Huang Ruo, inspired by the Tibetan Book of the Dead, is an ode to life and death. Ruo is one of the most important Chinese composers of the moment. He wrote his serene music-theatrical choral composition for the Netherlands Chamber Choir and Muziektheater Transparant. For this special occasion, Huang Ruo will conduct his own work. This musical pilgrimage will be given a special theatrical interpretation by Muziektheater Transparant. The result is a tender concert ritual that offers comfort and reconciles us with our own mortality.
