Californian post-hardcore band Movements is distinguished from its many peers by frontman Patrick Miranda, whose intense vocals immediately grab your attention and don’t let go. After debut album Feel Something (2017) and follow-up No Good Left To Give (2020), 2023 saw the release of third album RUCKUS!, on which Movements incorporates pop punk, grunge and shoegaze into their sound. Yet the basis of their sound remains post-hardcore with an emo edge – prize track Lead Pipe is impossible not to roar along to. Suitable for fans of Teenage Wrist, The Story So Far, Boston Manor, Citizen and Don Broco.
