Scottish singer-songwriter Dean Owens began his musical career in the mid-nineties with The Felsons, the band in which he developed his Scottish Americana sound, also known as ‘celtabilly’. He now has eleven solo albums to his name and counts writer Irvine Welsh among his fans. In 2022, Owens broke through to a wider audience with the album Sinner’s Shrine, which he recorded with Joey Burns and John Convertino of the Tex-Mex band Calexico. Dean Owens’ new album Spirit Ridge will be released on 14 February 2025 and is stylistically in line with Sinner’s Shrine.
