RONKER

RONKER crawled out of the Dender Valley swamp soil as a four-headed monster in 2021. With state-of-the-art speed noise, RONKER built a solid live reputation. The band was allowed to share the stage with its heroes Melvins, Show Me The Body and Godflesh. On their first EP “Self Loathing Self Help”, the musicians proved to be a machine not only live. Album “Fear is a Funny Thing, Now Smile Like a Big Boy” was released on 10 May 2024 via Labelman. ‘A punch of a debut that finally pumps some speed into Belgian rock,’ Humo said.

On their debut record the band sounds hungry, nervous and grossing out in its bipolar nature: post-punk paired with the concrete nature of 90s alt-metal both contribute equally hard to their DNA, an explosive concoction where chunks of hardcore are mixed with noise, indie, prog and punk and no house is sacred anymore.
