Mira is alive! Out of the marine litter has swum a mysterious seahorse. She breathes, moves and looks at you. Do you dare to take a stand against Plastic Soup together with Mira?

Nikki Steenbergen is a Leiden based costume designer. With her absurdist shapes and designs, she likes to take people to a different reality. Inspired by her internship at Coupe de Théâtre (The Masked Singer) and her volunteer work for Healthy Seas, she decided to create to a gigantic seahorse made from marine litter to create a dialogue about the Plastic Soup. This funny, happy and intense seahorse looks at you in a way that you can’t run away from the conversation. So let’s meet Mira!
