If you scream, I whisper – Youri & Marie
In every news outlet, the narrative echoes the same sentiment: our world is tilting towards greater polarization. Algorithms, steering our online experiences, thrust us into echo chambers, amplifying the cacophony of opposing voices. Caught in the whirlwind of our daily routines, rush reading of emails and ever scrolling landscape on socials media, swift judgement becomes second nature; you’re expected to be quick, and uncertainty seems to echo cowardice.

With our piece If you scream I whisper, we aim to propose an alternative filled with humanity and a sense of time. It is an invitation to feel rather than think, to take time rather than rush. Drawing our inspiration from the new-found term “sonder”, we delve into the complexity of human relations, exploring the essence of connectivity and its profound significance in today’s society. How can we keep the connexion alive? How can we stay open and available to perceive the complexity of one’s life, his own? How can we stay flexible in order to accept changes and to change paths? If you scream I whisper is a gentle reminder of our collective humanity, where progress is a nuanced dance of interconnected souls.

Conundrum – Yoko Haveman
In Conundrum, we see an entangled being with a three-meter-long metal chain as a metaphor for conditioned idealism. Which ideas are imposed by nurture, culture, and environment, and how does she distinguish them from her natural thoughts? Combining physical theater and text, Yoko Haveman demonstrates how identity can give shape in abstraction while seeking a genuine connection with the audience.
