The high achievers have already been and gone from Woodpecker Station. The crew of Rotation Two’s main job has devolved into keeping the seats warm for the real heroes to take over and find life on Europa: the Ice Moon of Jupiter. Despite the flashy degrees and years of training, these hotshots spend as much time indulging Marketing’s never ending social media campaign as they do making headway on their drilling mission.

And not asking questions about what happened to the last mission’s crew…

In the shadow of Jupiter, it’s easy to feel eclipsed, and our crew are developing tunnel vision for a page in the history books. Approaching the end of their mission, the only little green creatures they have managed to study are Southern Bell Frogs.

As this ball of ice slips behind the vast gas giant one more time, the crew has a chance at the spotlight, but they haven’t the time to name their discovery before these 6 frogs feel the water around them start to boil. Have they achieved scientific immortality, or a glimpse at their own mortality?

Of course, It doesn’t help that the relief ship has vanished, or that the power is failing, or that cabin fever is rising and trigger fingers are getting itchy.

The temperature is soaring on Jupiter’s Ice Moon. Can you discover what is happening to our explorers before they are put on ice?

From director Jasper Landman: “I love pulpy, low sci fi set in the near future. I found out that Europa has a roughly four-day orbit around Jupiter and would experience long 40 hour eclipses. A lot can happen when you’re cut off from Earth for 40 hours…

All science in the show is at least plausible, and all the clues are there for the audience to see. The real story is about the paranoia as they are all bunched up together for those long 40 hour nights. It’s about how the thin veneer of professionalism is rubbed off to reveal the raw person underneath.”
