De belofte 19

Once again this year, promising talent collaborates closely on an exhibition where painting, video installations, sculptures, sound art, and new media come together to form a challenging and cohesive whole. Exactly how it will turn out this year remains shrouded in mystery, but it promises to be an exciting edition.

The need for knowledge, exchange, and interaction is great among emerging artists. De Belofte is a program where young and talented artists are guided by former participants and professionals in the field, helping them find their place in the contemporary art world after graduating from art school.

Participants receive both business and substantive support. Interaction, exchange, and knowledge transfer are central. They learn to contextualize their art, escape their familiar ways of seeing and working, profile themselves, and professionalize their practice.

The program culminates in a group exhibition in the monumental space of Kunstliefde.
