Café Theater Festival

In March 2025, the Café Theater Festival will once again take over the hospitality venues in Utrecht, Arnhem, and Rotterdam. Between March 6 and 29 (6-9 March in Utrecht), 41 emerging creators will bring surprising performances to around 50 locations. This year, there will also be a special pop-up location at Utrecht Centraal.

Meet The Theater Makers Of Tomorrow
From over 160 applications, the artistic team selected the most promising creators. They are currently developing site-specific performances specially designed for the festival. The CTF supports them both artistically and professionally, acting as a springboard for emerging talent, such as Janneke de Bijl, Club Lam, and Marco Lopes in previous years.

The Café Theater Festival will once again take place in three cities. With over 50 hospitality venues participating, audiences from all over the country can discover new creators. From cabaret to musical theater, dramatic text-based performances, (Hip Hop) dance, and circus, there’s something for everyone at CTF.

CTF At Utrecht Centraal
From March 3 to 9, CTF will open a pop-up café at Utrecht Centraal. Here, travelers can watch performances by both previous CTF creators, view a photo exhibition of the participating venues, taste the vandeStreek 0.0 beer, and get festival tips from staff. This unique pop-up space serves as a vibrant showcase to further highlight the creators and the festival.
