Be enchanted by this magnificent stable housing over six hundred splendid nativity scene figures. These are genuine museum pieces dating back to the 18th century from the Italian city of Naples. Together, they form a complete miniature city bustling with activity, inviting exploration from every angle.

Not only are the figures with their clothing and accessories stunning, but the backdrop in which they are displayed is also spectacular. The most beautiful nativity scene in the Netherlands is adorned with authentic Utrecht eye-catchers. Imagine the Dom Tower, the Winkel van Sinkel as an inn, a flower market along the Utrecht canal, and the Sonnenborgh observatory. Even the oldest house in Utrecht is part of this scene.

This unique 18th-century nativity scene originates from Naples, Italy. During that time, affluent families competed to gather the most exquisite nativity scene figures. There was a fierce competition to possess the largest, most beautiful, and most valuable nativity scene. Only the best would suffice. The figures were crafted by the greatest Baroque artists. Each figure is a work of art in itself, with terracotta heads and wooden limbs skillfully painted. The delicate clothing is made from silk, wool, cotton, and brocade, often meticulously embroidered and adorned with pearls, ivory, and mother-of-pearl.
