In the summer of 1904, Johannes Anthonius Moesman photographed this woman walking through an otherwise deserted Schoutenstraat. As a lithographer, Moesman sold his (advertising) works from his printing house and shop on Neude. As an amateur photographer, he took hundreds of photos of markets, fairs, parades and well-known places in the city. In this exhibition, the Utrecht Archives shows a selection of his photos to give you a glimpse of city life at the beginning of the 20th century. The exhibition can be seen until 27 April 2025.
