Half a century ago, a grocery store opened in the middle of town: the Betje Boerhave store and museum. After a temporary closure and relocation, the museum reopened in a beautifully restored 17th-century building. You can still buy old-fashioned sweets in the detailed replica of the former store, but also learn more about how the grocer transformed into the supermarket of today. The 50th anniversary will be celebrated with a special exhibition, so make sure to check it out this summer.
